↓ Cut to the chase (TLDR) ↓

“This guide is a must-have for anyone who wants to get into automotive photography and needs a helping hand with inspiration, like I do. It has given me so much information, and the fact that it’s available on my phone at any time is just incredible.

This guide has taken away all the ambiguity for me, and given me a positive direction to head in as it gives short and sharp guidance to help me out. I have actually paid more than double for a package off a well-known Instagram car photographer but have not even gained a fraction of the information that this field guide has given me, and at a fraction of the cost!

This is probably the last guide I’ll ever need, and I feel that Peter may have just blown every car photographer out of the water with this one. It’s clear that Peter cares about his photography and cares about helping others out. Thank you for this field guide; it’s absolutely fantastic!”

Are you a car enthusiast who wants to take car photos good enough to hang on your wall, sell to clients, or publish commercially? Do you struggle to decide which lenses to use, what angles work best, where to shoot, or how to deal with difficult lighting conditions?

The Car Photography Field Guide has the answers, and because it's delivered as a simple phone-optimized PDF book, it's always with you. It's just $29, and you can have it right now.

I've shot cars outdoors since 1990 for magazines, manufacturers, and commercial clients. I know how rushed and confused you can feel juggling all the variables of location, light, lenses, and angles!

In 1986, I was thrown in the deep end when I secured a full-time job as photographer for Australian dirt bike magazine, Trail & Track. Very quickly, I learned to adapt to crushing deadlines, boring locations, crappy weather, and grumpy journalists. I had to learn darkroom skills on the fly, too – on my first day!

So when I got a break to shoot my first cover for Car Australia Magazine in 1990 (the Supra, RX7, MR2 and 300ZX), I was already battle-ready. But cars presented a whole new set of challenges!

Unlike motorcycles, cars required bigger locations, their panels and glassware reflected everything around them, and the focal lengths and angles made a bigger difference to how the images looked.

In the decades that followed, shooting cars like the F40, Diablo, M5, 959, R32, NSX, SL500, Lister Jag, Wraith, Continental, and hundreds of other sports cars, family wagons, one-off specials, and batshit-boring econo-cars, I learned what works and what doesn't.

Fast-forward to 2025, and after producing various YouTube videos on car photography, I learned that many of my viewers enjoyed photographing cars, too, but struggled to do it well.

That's why I created the Car Photography Field Guide – a simple, easy to use companion for every aspiring car photographer.

Presented in logical steps, complete with dozens of images to inspire and instruct, it's designed as a vertical format PDF that lives on your phone – that way, it's always with you!

In it, I've taken my 35+ years of experience photographing cars in the outdoors and simplified it so that anyone can improve their car photography!

So, stop guessing what to do and start knowing what to do. Stop searching YouTube videos or blogs for techniques, and instead, get 35 years' experience packed into one simple, easy-to-use guide for just $29. Click the button below, and you’ll immediately receive a link to download your own copy of the Car Photography Field Guide!
